Now that the Wolof Bible has gone to press, further donations to this project will be used to print single books, or selections of passages, for people to read and hopefully get interested to read the entire Bible. The books will be taken from the Bible so the format is already set and will be printed in-country. The country is only 58% literate (2022) in the Roman alphabet, but parents send their children to Qur’anic schools where they learn the Arabic alphabet. So many more are literate in the Arabic alphabet. The Arabic alphabet is considered holy. These single Wolof Bible books will be printed in both alphabets.
