What They Do:
Lloyd and Jan became a part of the WorldVenture family in 2002.
The Chinns have had the privilege of providing theological education to pastors and church leaders in Ghana and have a great joy of being the foundation of training for a president of one of the largest denominations in the country. They are building the Nkwanta Leadership Equipping/Empowerment Center (NLEC) in partnership with Cyrene Connect and the Nkwanta District Council of Churches. They consider this project the foundational base of all that they do. The center will provide theological education and missionary training to nationals to prepare them to serve in areas where others cannot go. They have also developed a partnership with a development university in Ghana who will have distance education classes at the NLEC every weekend to prepare students for business as a transformational tool in the Body of Christ.
The Chinns partner actively with indigenous African mission sending agencies. Their role is to help each organization build capacity; connect with partners that can help them carry out their purpose and goals; mentor their leadership; provide member care; and provide cross cultural training.
Lloyd and Jan are always looking ahead to the future and are noted for their ambition to work themselves out of their jobs by mentoring and teaching the proper individuals to do the job successfully. They strive to complete their tasks with authenticity and purpose, thinking strategically, moving toward the mission of God and always working innovatively. They are enthusiastic about the potential of their ministry and are seeking methods to broaden their vision, secure sustainability, mobilize others, and lead sacrificially.
