Bringing the Gospel to the Japanese through practical support and relational ministry.
Through the journey of studying the Japanese language and culture which began in 2017, Bailey felt God place a deep care for the Japanese people on his heart. This led to his first short-term mission trip to Japan in the fall 2022 after a 2-year delay due to COVID. After serving in ministry to the Japanese, Bailey knew this is what God has called him to and shifted his focus from a career in aviation to full-time ministry serving the second largest unreached people group in the world for the gospel (in fact, all of the evangelical Christians in Japan could fit standing on the Oakland Bay Bridge).
In 2022, Bailey served in the Tokyo area doing facility maintenance at an international Christian school, helping teach English at a Japanese Christian school, helping with games at a Christian kindergarten, assisting with the gospel choirs, and spent a week working in the kitchen and helping with maintenance at a Christian camp in Iwate. In 2024, he returned to the camp for a month to serve and discuss future long-term ministry with the camp director.
With a background in construction, maintenance, and overhaul, Bailey intends to use these skills to support the Japanese church by serving at the Christian camp. As a hub for the church in eastern Japan, connections can be made with many ministries, and more importantly, there are a plethora of opportunities for relational ministry, both in discipling believers and sharing the gospel with the not-yet-saved.
Bailey would greatly appreciate your prayer and support in partnering with this ministry to the ripe but somewhat dark field of Japan, where an epidemic of loneliness can only be healed through the life-giving water of salvation in Jesus Christ.
